What did your first week actually cost, before the first pay landed?

The number people quote when they talk about work abroad is the hourly rate. The number that catches people out is what they had to spend before any of it arrived.

Transport to the town. A bond or a first week of rent. Boots, gloves, a jacket for weather nobody warned you about. A phone plan. Food before the first shift. Whatever the accommodation took out before you saw a payslip.

Roughly what did that come to for you, and in which country? Somebody is reading this two weeks before they fly, working out whether what they have saved is enough.
