Who holds the key to your house in the pind?

A house that nobody lives in still needs somebody. A bill that keeps running, a roof before the monsoon, somebody to open it up before you land.

Who does that for you, and what did you agree? Is it family, a neighbour, a caretaker who is paid, or is the honest answer that nobody really does and you find out when you get there?

The part people find hardest is not the maintenance, it is asking a relative to take on a job without it becoming an obligation nobody can talk about. If you have got that balance right, say how.
